When you choose a path in your live you could not digress or you would 
be turning around a circle. Surely OpenBeOS is not a research project, 
but it will keep BeOS alive.

There should be a balance between a architectonically perfect OS and a 
commercial OS. If you change APIs frequently programmer could not 
maintain their applications, especially if they are free or charge.

Developing an alternative OS in a monopolized world is not enough risk 
for you?
