Hi Trevor,

 documentation for devs as well.

We are in the process of renovating the website, and there will be an end user document area with the following categories (still subject to change):

Audio & Video
Hardware
Installation
Networking
Preferences
Tracker & Deskbar

Perhaps you could start with the very basics by writing short how to's for the existing Preferences apps (ie., how to adjust screen resolution, how to change the fonts, etc.). Screenshots (with thumbnails when necessary) are also good to have; it may also be wise to note the Haiku version info (rev # in About Haiku window).

Once the renovated website is in place, then it should be easier to contribute content. But at this point in time, I am not sure what the best way would be to submit the content, as the existing content will have to be migrated to the renovated site as it organizes content a bit differently. Maybe you can start writing, and just send me the html+graphics in a zip file for now.

Cheers,

Koki

Hey,
I noticed that you need volunteers for doing documentation, and I would like to help. Since it said to inquire in the main mailing list, that's
what I'm doing.
We can always use some help. What area of documentation can you help with? For end users? For devs?

Cheers,

Koki
