[openbeos] Re: Posting it here, hoping for the best!

In my experiences, when a working installation suddenly refuses to boot,
selecting the "disable user add-ons" option in the boot options menu tends
to help. Hooking up a serial cable and looking at the debugging output is
usually the best way to narrow the problem down to a particular app or
component.
When you say "progresses no further", do you mean the system hangs, or it
restarts itself?

Hi all,
I'm hopeful someone can help me with this, even though it's not
Haiku-specific.
I have a customer who started suddenly having the following problem on a
computer installation that *had* been working properly:
When booting (into ZETA), all the icons in the splash screen light up,
and then the screen goes black, and it progresses no further.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dane
