Yes, we already do.

I had this in mind since some time. For reasons beyond the scope of this
email, I had to use an external keyboard with my laptop. It had a different
key layout than the laptop keyboard. Also, what if you have two mice, with
different buttons/features/resolution?
I would like to configure each intput device separately. But it should only
appear to the user when you have indeed more devices attached at the same
time.
