Apologies, only just noticed it!
Wasn't sure whether to report bugs such as this, is it considered generally
a Good Thing, or would the devs rather be left alone to tackle the big
stuff?

Actually, it's been happening for awhile (basically since deskbar showed up
in haiku :P). I thought it was something in BMenu classes, investigated a
bit, but achieved nothing.
