For userland clients API, yes. Our current networking kit aim to be compatible
with both net_server's API and BONE's API. That means we have/are in the
process to have binary compatible libnet.so, libnetapi.so, libsocket.so and
libbind.so plus source compatible headers files.
For all the rest (stack modules API, preflet addons API, non-GUI commands, etc)
we don't plan to offer backward compatibility. We may find so exception case,
thought.
I guess we still have several issues to fix, but that's the way we go.
