XML is nicer to read and parse, though, and has the advantage of being
editable/usable by both text editors and any program that can handle XML
documents.
I highly recommend checking out MAR on BeBits:
http://www.bebits.com/app/1211
It does a nice job of converting BMessages to XML and back, so the work
is already done for you -- all you'd need to do is integrate the
code.
