2007/4/1, Sean Healy <jalopeura@xxxxxxxxxxx>:
I downloaded and installed the Haiku development tools, to build Haiku
myself. (It didn't help, Haiku still won't boot on my VirtualPC). However,
since I installed the tools, I'm having problems with Firefox 2.0; it
takes a LONG time to show up on the screen. I don't know which tool did
this, and I was hoping someone here had run across this problem and could
guide me. I'd like to have the Haiku tools, but since I can't get Haiku to
boot anyway, if it comes down to a choice between Haiku development tools
and Firefox, I'll uninstall the Haiku tools.

Try renaming your profile from /boot/home/config/settings. It might be
that your profile has become corrupt and that's what taking so long.
As soon as you've deleted the profile, on the next run firefox will
create a new one, and then restart again to test whether or not the
loading goes faster.
