How about doing an "early release pre-Alpha test CD" but not advertising
it.
The people most interested will probably know from this list that it's
there and can try it out if they want.
The factory already provides pre-built HDD images, I don't see any
reason it shouldn't provide CD images too as soon as we are confident
about them. Just put it on silently.
