I meant that more in regard to the number of APIs, not the number of apps. If 
you are asking yourself "how does more APIs translate to 'being a user more 
fun again'", look at Media Kit and Translation Kit. By eliminating user 
hassles.

There are big questions around the IK that need to be decided for R2 and 
beyond. Let's not sweat the (fairly) small stuff right now. Let's get a base 
to work off of. We could debate Gonx vs Stubear's vs KDE vs Gnome vs OSX vs 
XP forever and not get to the "real" work that needs to be done.
