I had completely forgotten about this option.
Perhaps this could be a continued option, only less hidden.

BeOS R5 makes this an option; there is some key combo you hold down
while opening the Deskbar menu, which adds an otherwise 'hidden' option
to enable you to choose from three or four different window looks --
one looks like Windows, one like the Mac, ...
