Yes, whenever I need to access my FAT32 partition from Windows, it
helps to run scandisk which fixes the wrongly named files. Annyoing but
not a major issue :)

The original documentation costs money, but there is an open-source
"reengineered" version of it which can be legally used.
(does anyone know why Windows still doesn't support RockRidge?)
