Yes, it used to boot- I suspect it's a bad HD, so let me move on to
another question:
is there a HD capacity limit for Haiku? meaning, can I install on a
partitioned 160 gig drive?

Did Haiku ever boot before on that machine? If not, that's probably
some of
the hardware support we're still lacking. Anyway, serial debug output

be tremendously helpful.
