I am sorry - I don't understand this at all.
What I meant was this graphic:

At the end of 2003 there comes comes _a lot_ of code in the CVS. But after
that, there is only a vew new code.

I think that you are seeing the automatic identify of Tracker. I have seen
this - you download a file and it has the "generic" icon. As soon as you
double click it, it gets classified and the icon changes. On my machine,
you
get just a quick peek before the app window covers the icon. :-)
Yes, but the interesting thing is, that is do exactly the same like "mimeset
-f program"
For example. Write an hello-world program called "program.c" and use an
resourcefile "program.rsrc".
Now you can input
$ gcc programc -o program1
$ xres -o program1 program.rsrc
Now creating exacltly copies of program1:
$ cp program1 program2
$ cp program1 program3
And now type
$ mimeset -f program3
and program2 try to start with OpenTraker.
If you now input
$ diff program1 program2
the answer is, that program1 and program2 differ
But if you input
$ diff program2 program3
you see, that both programs don't differ.
And mimeset do a lot with the program. On some programs the size becomes a
little bit bigger and so.
