In true management style, I see both sides. :-)
Mozilla is a *very* complete web browser. And people are a lot more likely to
listen
when you tell them that you can not see their site when you tell them that you
are using a 'standard ' browser.
OTOH, port:wine::port:software.

I was impressed that Scott was able to add JS to Net+ by himself in a fairly
short
period of time.
My *personal* take is this - Scott said that it would take a whole team of
people working
full time on a browser to make it work as brokenly as IE. I suspect that he is
right.
Since we are unlikely to get a dozen or so good engineers working full time on
a browser,
porting makes sense.
