The layout I suggested should not have a fixed size listview. It should 
resize to fit the list items. I hope we'll be able to reap the fruits 
of Ingo's work on automatic layout resizing.

(One should never have to scroll horizontally, unless the window 
contents somehow do not fit on screen and can't be presented in some 
alternative way in the limited space.)

In Windows XP? Sure, it looks nice, (Windows' trying to look like the 
web), but the way the list moves when selecting/deselecting (growing/
shrinking items) always confuses me. (Losing one's balance, focus/place 
in the list?)
