This is not an error in mylvmbackup, but rather looks like there is a
problem with the installation of the Sys::Syslog Perl module. Did you
install it yourself or did it come with the distribution you are using?

No wonder, as the offending code itself has not been replaced :)
Try to update the Sys::Syslog Perl module and check your local
configuration, this is not a bug in mylvmbackup.

If you don't require the syslog support, you could also try to simply
disable it by setting "log_method" to "console" - this should avoid
loading the Syslog Perl module.
