Messengers are rarely anyone's favorite person. Be that as it may, fantasies
all eventually end up like Iraq after the inevitable reality sets in. Much
better to grieve the fantasy and let it go, which means first understanding
that there is one and then why there is one. Tragically for the world, that
rarely happens.

It's like somebody dislikes you as Andy and then they learn
you are Irene and they dislike you as Irene. You are used to
being disliked as Andy, but then you have to get used to
being disliked as Irene too.
Same with the cowboy thing. Being hated as the gun-toting
cowboy of the world is one thing, but being the timid,
bureaucratic, and self-serving "movie background" American
is quite another.
