ck: Why not just get a baseball bat? A popular weapon, especially in cars, in California. I kid you not. Baseball bats are in.

If tasers were legal to purchase and I happened to live in a 'questionable' neighbourhood, I'd get one. I'd have NO trouble in temporarily stunning someone. Hell, I may even zap em a few more times when they were almost recovered, just because it would be fun and they'd deserve a little imposition for screwing up MY day.
