Finally today, I managed to put some Leica glass on
the 350D. I used the 50f/2 on it. It was so difficult
to focus.
However, I noticed that using the kit lens was much
easier to manual focus. Then it hit me, that the Leica
glass has more "turn" to the focus .. it requires much
more detailed focusing that the normal Canon lenses.
It was not too difficult to "snap to sharp focus" for
the Canon lenses, even on the tiny VF of 350D, in my
trial out. But not so, for the Leica.
At least, there goes my "interim" "cheap" solution for
the Leica-Canon ... the VF on the 350D just cannot
make it for me.
