Hi Andy,

May be Herr Ralf wanted a break, a change. So far he did a good job, the M series are selling and the R have not disappeared....

As I know, the leica group has better income in other branches than the 135 film prosumer market.

In case of M serie, we should call it a Poseur-sumer market.... JMO!

I'm waitng for the pendulum to swing back, I mean, the users of digital are not all top notch in Photoshop and they want photos which are great. And they are not keen to spend money on new Hardware/Software platform to be able to see their pictures. So?

Film is back! (in a moment....)

the following statement scares me. With the coming wave of Digital: IMHO Leica should devote more of an effort than just a supplement to thier film line. Though I'm thrilled that they will be extending the academie to other countries

for digital supplements to the Leica
SLR and rangefinder systems, have been built up under the direction of Ralf Coenen.
