Not quite, I was on a visit to the Leica factory at Solms a couple of
years ago with a group of other Leica friends
and a lot of the talk in the discussion round was about exactly this
scratching problem. this was only shortly after the R8
was released. 3 of the , if I remember correctly, around 15 R8 owners
had had this problem.
The other main subject was the lack of the motor-drive/winder which had
been announced but not released.

I remember that one, it must have made up 80% of the LUG traffic for a couple of months, the guy sure had a bee in his bonnet over it.
