> Additional Information
> Its a Business Information Officer. Throughout the organization we have
multiple BIO's who partner with our key business leaders. They have to be
able to understand the business process - and their needs and challenges -
and then work with technology to deliver solutions. This particular opening
is to partner with the Financial Operations and Business Risk Group. The
type of person we want is below:
> High potential
> Intelligent
> Passionate about learning
> Driven for perfection
>
> STRONG BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
> Its an IT Solutions Role supporting the Finance Business. So a business
person (finance / acctg / econ undergrad) whose career moved into a more
technical solutions role would be perfect. HOW would they get there? Likely
through 2 different avenues. 1.) Participating as a lead resource / project
manager in a large-scale financial systems implementation. 2.) Participating
in a development project of a business application. MORE than simply being
involved with gathering user requirements, but someone who had a strong
voice and managed pieces of user requirements, writing use cases, testing,
process, implementation and maintenance of the system. So... I guess this
person could potentially be an accountant or analyst who moved into a
Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role. Again, the technical support of
the Finance Business is critical. However we do not need the #1 person
supporting the CFO. We are looking for perhaps the #2 or #3 person. The high
potential driven person who has seen implementations happen and applications
developed successfully. We want the person who has been involved on the
sidelines, has learned from what he or she has witnesses / experienced, and
is ready to do it. Strong IT person who has worked to deliver IT solutions
(through development) to their internal business partners. AND those
internal business partners have to be the finance department... in a
financial services company who has assets similar to ours. Generally
speaking, a finance company who operates primarily in the secondary market.
I need someone who can sit at the table with architects and the developers
group and understand what they are talking about. Someone who has worked in
a Best In Class Financial Services Organization with a large Balance Sheet.
Someone who has been successful in a strong and growing organization.
Someone who has demonstrated success in a large matrix organization Someone
who can think very strategically and who can clearly communicate the
priorities, and work alongside the "do-ers" to accomplish those. Strong
finance background whose career has grown to focus on more technical
initiatives. This person will work with both key finance leaders and all
levels of IT staff to build well-connected systems that support the business
initiatives and priorities. This person will need to truly understand the
financial process so he/she can work with those finance leaders to
contribute to technical solutions.
