[jsfg_cinti] Privacy Concern

Any advice for this situation:

I had an interview early this week with a company that first required me to
complete a lengthy employment application, authorization for background check,
and provide professional references. 10 minutes into the interview they said I
was better suited for a higher position and concluded the interview. I still
have not heard back from anyone in the organization and they have my
authorization, application with my SS#, and what I find unethical - they could
be using my professional references as their newest leads.

The people I met with came in from out of town to conduct interviews. This is a
nationally known company. Should I be concerned? Should I politely ask for my
paperwork to be returned, and do they have to comply?

Thank you. Please respond to stephaniesplete@xxxxxxxx

Good Luck All,
