I don't know if this is a firewall, but I hear winpatrol is good.

Hi Listers,
I used Norton for several years, but I found it getting less and less
accessible and more and more annoying as it interfered with my use of many
other applications, so I got rid of it altogether earlier this year. I now use
NOD32, which I find very accessible and not annoying at all.
For a firewall, I bought a dLink router and that works great. I also find
it accessible.
Regards,
Don (from New Brunswick)

Subject: [JAWSLite] Re: firewall and jaws
Hi again -- Actually, doesn't Norton have a firewall?
It isn't called "firewall" -- but I don't rememeber what the real name is.
Sorry can't be of more help.
I had Norton briefly and had a bunch of problems setting up that firewall,
not because of access but rather Norton's convoluted way of doing things that
took over the computer and blocked everything so I couldn't get it working.
Rather than learn how to use it I went back to McAfee, which used to be
accessible but now is not, but it is doable.
Gag.
Good luck.

Subject: [JAWSLite] firewall and jaws
Dear Listers: I am running home XP home, jaws 8 with Norton anti-virus
2006.
After moving to high speed internet I thought I would need a more robust
firewall than the Windows firewall. I have been running zone alarm but find it
inaccessible with jaws 8.
I am looking for a firewall that works with jaws and with Norton
anti-virus. It would be nice if it was free, but if I have to pay, I will.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Stan
