Hi Steve,
That's a good question. I have my Windows Updates set to notify me =
when=20
there are updates and that notice shows up in my System Tray. This =
morning,=20
I received the notice about Service Pack 3, so I did what I always do in =
such cases: I went to my System Tray and Tabbed once, then I pressed the =
SpaceBar on the Right Mouse Click button. At that point, it told me that =
one=20
update, namely SP3, was ready for download, so I Tabbed to the Download=20
button and pressed the SpaceBar.
Now, what usually happens is that the download takes place and then, =
after it is complete, I get a notice that the new update is ready to=20
install, so I go again to my System Tray, Tab once on the Install notice =
and=20
press the SpaceBar on the Right Mouse Click button, then press the =
SpaceBar=20
on the Install button. After the Install is complete, I usually get =
prompted=20
to reboot my computer.
However, I haven't received any further notices or prompts since I=20
clicked on the Download button early this morning, so I don't know if it =
downloaded or not or whether it is installed; very strange, indeed!
Can anyone enlighten me on this?
