hi,
the software can be any time accessible but the case for some DVD is, there is
a selection menu where you can select
chepter-by-chepter or play the entire disc, this special menu is not readable
with any screen reader. so regardless win media player
or power dvd, this special menu is not accessible for us, therefore you need
sighted assistant.

Or use Power DVD which is more JAWS friendly. Well I haven't ever
tried Windows Media Player with JAWS to play DVDs but have used Power
DVD. I'm not sure what versions of JAWS it will work with but I'm
pretty sure 7'd be ok.
