A fiberglass shingle(25 year) was installed after all the old shingles
were removed. A year later the home owner noticed that the rain spouts
which had cleaned when the new roof was installed had already some of the
sand from this new roof. Not much but enough to fill about two cups after
cleaning all the rain spouts. There were no "bald" spots found on the roof
where all the sand fell off. Is this normal, or an early indication of
defective shingles?
