Check for the archives for some of the discussion about CMS, etc. Both myself
and Mikael have experience with Trac. The possibility of integrating Trac
with SVN makes it very attractive. Don't really care about the CMS although I
have suggested a Zope-based solution particularly with a view to
single-sign-on. Now that Andrew Milton has released a patch to run Trac
within Zope I think this makes even more sense but as I won't be involved in
producing content I don't really mind. I think we're all agreed that
whichever CMS should be usable, robust and extensible. When it comes to open
source CMS that really narrows the choices down. I'm happy that Waldemar has
taken the lead on this and is so focussed on usability.
As for porting the existing Bugzilla DB to Trac - this shouldn't take long as
it's already been done.

Python is pretty easy to pick up. Programmers seem either to love or hate
Python's syntax.

Happy to keep it up to date on any projects I'm working on but I'm not
playing catch up with the Trac team.

What do we need more than anything else is developers. Those who are serious
about development seem to get up to speed pretty quickly with the existing
resources. To go by the discussions I follow they quickly are made to feel
welcome. Personally I don't see the need for a great deal more content at the
moment: integration with SVN will give a much better understanding of the
progress of the project but it has to be understood that Haiku is a developer
OS.
