Yes, which is why I am asking for help running subversion.

No, the Trac for this project will be the test bed for the final one, ie. it 
will need to implement the same features. Having a separate install on a 
separate machine means two different versions to support. And Trac and svn 
need to be on the same machine at the moment which is also why we cannot use 
the official Haiku repository.
