So Guido has joined the Google ranks! Getting a bit scary.
If they didn't keep just being so cool, I would be scared.

Interestingly Bruce Eckel makes an interesting if oblique Python / Ruby comparison.

Summary: Ruby has inspired Pythonistas to rethink some of their stuff but not many of them to jump ship. I think this mirrors our discussion here: Mikael and myself are on the Python side, Waldemar and Michael to a lesser extent on the Ruby one.
Back the bus up. :-) I actually like Python. I tried Rails and it seems to be pretty cool but there is a big difference between "this toolkit is OK and the bundled language is livable" and being a Ruby-ista. :-)

Honestly, I don't care if we write something in lisp embedded in a Pascal VM. :-D PHP isn't our problem, really, with the current site.
