And don't forget the all-important shift-ctrl-clicking which allows
you to select multiple ranges ( you let off the shift key to select
the start of another range, then hold down the shift key when you
click it - all the while holding ctrl - or "windows command key")

In Windows I use shift, ctrl, and shift-ctrl click all day long when
selecting files to copy from large sets.
