Wouldn't it be possible to create a coexistance utility ..
$ export_r5_compatible_icons [boot volume]
.. to be run from within Haiku, which would add R5-compatible
attributes alongside the Haiku icon?
Haiku apps don't run in BeOS, AFAIK, but it would make the
Haiku partition nicer to look at from the BeOS side of things,
FWIW.
One could opt to only export R5-compatible icons for files
that have their own vector icon attribute, like the apps and
preferences, or one could do it for all files regardless.
It's at nobody's expense but your own, and only when
explicitly asked for, by running the utility.
It's not anything we truly need, I suppose, but it should be
easy to create.
/Jonas.
