Maybe you could try to add such lines to src/kits/mail/Jamfile and
such, before the main rule :
local sources = source1.cpp source2.cpp source3.cpp ;
DEBUG on [ FGristFiles $(sources:S=$(SUFOBJ)) ] = 1 ;
