If this suggestion is possible, and then if it is adopted, I hope it would not
start indicating until ten or twenty seconds have gone by. There isn't much
point in hearing indications before then.

  Dear GPS List,

I am not sure if this is a suggestion that has been already brought up yet,
but I will throw it out there. I think there should be some sort of percentage
indicator when the GPS is loading either maps, a route, finding a poi, and
other functions in which it will have swishes. It is nice to know that for
every three second there is one swish, and if the user has a Braille display
they are able to see how many swishes has it gone through thus far. But, it can
take as many as one swish to a few hundred swishes to do an operation, so this
is a reason why a percentage indicator would be useful, so the user is able to
have some sort of comparison and some expected time in which it will complete
the operation.
