Hi: I love my Earth Mate, especially because of its compact size. The
only downside, I have found with the Earth Mate, specifically if you
travel a lot to different States, and Countries, I have found, at least
mine, that it takes quite some time to re-establish a fix to a satellite
in a different location. For example, this past weekend I travelled to
Chicago, and found that the Earth Mate took approximately 15 minutes to
recognize, and get a fix on a satellite, which isn't too bad. However,
upon my return to the
Washington DC Metropolitan area, I tried using it on the way home from
the airport, in a car, with regular windows, bright sunny day, no
clouds, and was a tad frustrated that it took approximately 30 minutes
before it even picked up a satellite fix, which was a tad disappointing
since by that time, I wasn't that far from home. Other than that, I'm
enjoying the Earth Mate. All the best. - Kim
