We are just in the process of adding a new bus stop database to the
BrailleNote GPS system as well as Talking A T M locations.
You will see a press release soon regarding 8500 transit stops in the
Portland Oregon area. The BrailleNote GPS will announce the bus ID number,
the route number, the nearby intersection, which corner the stop is on and
many features about the stop under the details command. The data includes
bus shelter or bench, if a pay phone is nearby, a signal light or
a sidewalk. You can call the local phone number, enter the bus stop ID and
get a real time announcement of the next bus that will come by that location.
We are also adding databases of talking ATMs from various banks. We have
already completed Wachovia bank in the Southeast states and others will be
incorporated soon.
