Peggy,
If the receiver is in the window, the type of vehicle shouldn't matter.
Both tinted windows and defrost elements can interfere with signals.
Since the program is scanning every 12 seconds and you are traveling pretty
fast in a car, it is more likely that the triggering is a matter of timing.
