Hi Rita,

Before you start the gps program, make sure your cf card containing the maps in the braillenote.

No, you do not have to have the receiver turned on in order to access the maps and explore in virtual mode.

As for the Holux battery satus, the gps program can't tell you the status of the battery. It is probably displayed on the receiver itself, but you'd need to see the indicators to get that information. I don't believe that information is transmitted to the braillenote so the gps program would have no way of getting it.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] finding maps and changing destination

Hello all
I am getting a message that says no maps found. Do I need to have the recieverr on in order for the gps to detect maps? I wanted to practice using the gps in virtual mode. How do I chage destination. I have tried to look up both thing in the manual but I can't find what I want. I also have a battery question. Does the hollex receiver tell you when the battery is low?
Thanks lots for your help.
Rita
