Jennifer,

Another way of getting to a POI without streets is to set your desired POI as your destination. After you acquire satellites do a repeat command m then d for destination and the heading and distance to your destination will be repeated at the interval you have set in the GPS options. Using your good O&M skills you can stay on the side walks or paths and hearing the heading and direction being repeated use dead reckoning to steer to your destination. I've used this many times where there are no streets to follow.

Try it, it works.

Jennifer,

Are there any streets in between your POIs? When the GPS software creates a route from point A to B, it looks for the best streets to get you there. If the area where you want to create a route lies on an area that isn't mapped out, then you will receive an error message.

Instead of an automatic route, you will have to create a manual route in this case. So you would have to walk the desired route between the two POIs and mark the waypoints manually by pressing the command SPACE with K (or dot 2 with the Braille keyboard), then type in the waypoint description and press enter.

Hope this helps,

Hi All,

Is it possible to set a route from point of interest to point of interest? On the Santa Rosa Junior college campus various buildings are marked (without addresses). I tried to set a route from the book store to Analy Village with no luck Why didn't this work?
