Yes, most common feature request. And I've been working on this since
last week, after the 1.3.1 release.

Plan is to make tabs, like in Firefox. Additionally each tab can be
torn-off and displayed as own window, like before. So it should be
customizable enough to meet everyones taste. Want the channels as own
window? Sure. Want it rather as tab, but Players as own window? Okay. -
You get the drift...

The tabbed vs. single-windows mode has always been controversial, since
the early releases. I must admit that I personally dislike tabs and
prefer the multiple windows approach. It's a matter of taste, so one
isn't more "right" than the other. However, most people are probably
running on Windows, and the multiple-window approach is somewhat
old-style Unix'ish (look at old X11 programs, for example). Most Windows
programs come with a single frame and clutter everything inside.
I personally prefer the multi-windows way, and that's why glGo looks how
it looks like: I wrote it in a way *I* like. Doesn't mean everyone has
to agree, of course. So the new customizable design will hopefully fit
everyones taste.

Additionally the tell and channels windows will get a facelift, too many
useless buttons there at the moment.

I will announce beta versions of the new tabbed mode here, though no
idea at the moment when exactly it's ready. Currently still prototyping
and working on the basics, nothing to show off yet.
