[dokuwiki] Dokuwiki vs. PHP5?

The System Requirements page states that "PHP 5 should be fine" for
Dokuwiki.
Now that PHP4 is going end-of-life, could that wording be strengthened?
How thoroughly has Dokuwiki been tested with PHP5?
