[dokuwiki] Isolated CSS and stricter XHTML compliance

Hello everyone,

I just got finished (well, almost) with integrating dokuwiki into my upcoming site, and I must say that I'm a bit disappointed at the rather loose standards compliance.

One of the things I had to do is go through all of the style sheets and force every element into the div.dokuwiki context because otherwise it greatly interfered with the rest of the site. I think it would really help if this was either the default setup, or better yet, if classes were named in a manner that makes it almost impossible for them to interfere with other elements on the page. For example, if you were to prefix all class names with dw_ or something like that.

The other thing I wanted to ask is if there are any plans to step up the standard compliance? XHTML 1.0 transitional is nice, but we are quickly coming up to the point of XHTML 2.0 and I think it wouldn't be a wasted effort to try and improve some of the code. The site that I just finished designing is using XHTML 1.1, and while I was able to fix most of the validation errors, I still have about 16 or so just on the Formatting Syntax page. I'll get around to fixing those as well once I become a bit more familiar with the inner workings of dokuwiki, but I would really not like to go through this again once a new version so out.

Thanks,
- Max
