The reason namespaces/pages are so attractive is for the backlink
functionality. You can easily with backlink plugin see what pages are in
that category. The category plugin doesn't give you this -- none of its
links are picked up by the backlink search...
If the searching was enhanced to be able to search for links i.e.
[[tag:coffee]] AND [[tag:expresso]] then it would be even better as one
could find intersections of tags/categories. One might also enhance the
backlink search to do this...
I am using tags in the namespace tag: in my wiki in the hope of future
enhancements to the backlink/link search functionality ;-) I am
considering coding up a patch to notice that any pages in $conf['tagns'] =
'tag:'; are tags and modify their links as the category plugin does.

I would recommend not using namespaces for this. Have a look at the
category plugin instead.

I would recommend not using namespaces for this. Have a look at the
