That's a mammoth to collect changelog and changesets. Light and
distributed SCMs such as darcs/mercurial/bzr fit better and they
would allow off-line clones of dokuwiki's contents. A plugin to
choose which SCM to use in place of dokuwiki's default revision
system seems to be the right solution.
