Hi Tomas,

I can't give you any real answers, but I can note my own experience 
(related to the tag plugin). I'm also looking for an answer to this as I 
was experiencing many strange things with the tag plugin (tags not 
disappearing, or being added to a tag-cloud, etc.).
I'm also wondering if there may be some kind of version incompatibility 
with Dokuwiki 2007-06-26 and tag plugin(s)?
In a test Dokuwiki install I noticed that the tag info was stored in 
it's own text-file (I think it was /data/index/tag.idx). It was in the 
form "tagname 0:12:16..." (one tagname per line, and I suppose the 
numbers represented the page id's where the tag appears). To get the tag 
stuff working properly I think I had to go in there and manually remove 
un-used tag listings, which I am sure it not good practice as I'm not 
sure if/how other things interact with this metadata, or even if 
"tagcloud" plugin maintains separate metadata from "tag" plugin, etc....
Anyway, my point is that it seems that data is separate from what the 
normal cleanup "methods" address (I tried all those metadata cleanup 
methods too).

the bottom of the page), but no reply.
I'm hoping someone else out there can shed some more light on this, as 
the tag (and related) plugins are extremely useful.
