Okay, I'm gearing up to use Darcs and I'm faced with a dilemma.
I only want to check in code that I have tested in exactly the source files
that I'm checking in. This suggests that my Darcs source base should be my
live source base.
But several of my mods are not suitable for checking in to the DokuWiki base.
I think it's possible to generalize these mods so that they are useful to
others, but only with considerably more work, and in some cases I don't think
I'm the right person to do the generalization.
So how do I live with both a checkinable Darcs tree and a tree containing
one-offs? Do I really have to patch two source trees and test them on separate
sites? I think I know the answer but I'm hoping that I'm wrong. Every once in
a while it happens that I'm wrong. =)
Of course, the other alternative is to force myself to find the solution that's
usable to others too.

P.S. Here are my one-offs so far:
- A few changes to lang.txt.
- Page info now only shows date last modified.
- RSS feed links to full page and not deltas page
- RSS feed author hard coded to Spider Joe
- TOC starts at configured heading depth (useful to others, but trying to put
this in the right spot split my brain)
There are a few other one-offs that I plan to generalize and check in.
