[dokuwiki] upgrade issues

Hi,
I followed the steps to upgrade my docuWiki

My previous copy was from may/june.
After untarring, there are extra folders in the data directory -
attic, cache, meta, media, & pages. These all show up when I do an
index on my wiki. It says you should delete the cache files in
data/.cache/ and media/.cache/ if there are problems - all that's in
the former is a 1kb purgefile & instructions folder & xhtml folder.
What am I overlooking?
