[dokuwiki] section link with a summary

it's essential to break large busy (regular simultaneous
editing) pages into smaller pages to prevent page-locking from
inhibiting simultaneous editing.

one downside to breaking a large _informative_ page down into
smaller _linked_ pages is the lack of summary information on
the original large page which now contains many links.

eg. i was writing a page outlining a new IT deployment with a
few other folks (to be read by management). the page was
becoming a bit lengthy (and unavailable for editing) so i
chopped it up. one section which listed broadband connectivity
options got it's own page. on the new page a description of
the issue was created along with detailed information
describing the pros and cons of each option. it would be nice
to be able to have each of the connectivity options displayed
on the 'New IT Deployment Page' to allow 'management' to
quickly see the connectivity options without clicking on the
[[Broadband Connectivity Options]] link.

here's anther attempt at clarifying what i want:

New IT Deployment Page (after it was refactored in smaller pages)
----------------------

1. [[Blah Blah Blah]]

2. [[Bleh Bleh Bleh]]

3. [[Broadband Connectivity Options]]

4. [[Blum Blum Blum]

Broadband Connectivity Options Page
-----------------------------------

blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity

1. T1 Line
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity

2. Dual Consumer Broadband with auto-failover
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity

3. Business grade xDSL w/SLA
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity
blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity blabity

i'd like #3 on the 'New IT Deployment Page' to automatically
reflect the complete list of broadband connectivity options
minus the 'blabity blabity . . .':

3. [[Broadband Connectivity Options]]
       1. T1 Line
       2. Dual Consumer Broadband with auto-failover
       3. Business grade xDSL w/SLA

kind of like a mini table of contents (a "section of contents"
if you will), but right within a particular section on the page
rather than floating in the upper-right corner of the page.

is anything like this possible with dokuwiki? and if not, how
much work would it be to add this capability to dokuwiki?

peace,
david
