Hello,
I am trying out dokuwiki and my first impression is really good. thanks!
few questions regarding setup and config if i may :
1. after i have install dokuwiki, i can go to
http://callista.ccs.yorku.ca/dokuwiki/ which leads to
http://callista.ccs.yorku.ca/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=start
my question is how to set up url like dokuwiki website ? i don't know how i
can create namespace this way.
2.1 I played around with attaching file, it works great. but one problem is
that I didn't know what to do after I have upload the file. spent some time
then i found out that by clicking on the uploaded file name in the upload
window, a link to the uploaded file gets appened to the wiki page. It would be
nice to have a one sentence to instruct the user.
2.2 I noticed that there are limited file types supported in upload feature.
can we do something like add an extra file extention to file names so that
there is no need to worry about the file type ? such as if i am uploading a
Perl script, the uploader can append .txt to the file name.
3. i know this is trivial, but a few lines of how to config your webserver to
run dokuwiki would be nice too. such as httpd config etc.
that's all for now.
cheers,
Qiang
